Refunds & cancellation

Last reviewed: 26 August 2026

Cancel Desk sells a cancel flow, so our own had better be clean. Here is exactly how cancelling a Cancel Desk subscription works, what you're charged, and what happens when a payment fails — no retention offer, no phone call, no chat queue.

How to cancel

Self-serve, from the Billing tab inside your workspace. Click cancel and it's done — no email required, nobody to convince. If you'd rather email, that works too: hello@klairtech.com from your workspace address.

What happens after you cancel

Refunds

We don't offer partial-period refunds: when you cancel, the current period runs to its end rather than being refunded pro-rata. This is stated before you pay (in the Terms and here). If something on our side went genuinely wrong — you were charged after cancelling, or charged twice — that's not a "refund request", that's our error: email hello@klairtech.com and we'll fix it.

What you're actually charged

Prices are displayed in USD, but every subscription is billed in INR through Razorpay at a fixed amount per plan. The exact INR amount you'll be charged is shown on Razorpay's checkout screen before you confirm — what you see there is what you pay, not a converted estimate. If you pay with a non-Indian card, your bank sets the conversion to your own currency and may add its own foreign-transaction fee, which we don't control and don't receive.

Failed payments

If a renewal charge fails, Razorpay retries it automatically. While that's happening your subscription shows as past due, and you keep paid access through a 3-day grace period. If the retries all fail, the subscription lapses to the Free plan — nothing is deleted, and you can re-subscribe any time.

Disputing a charge

Email hello@klairtech.com with the workspace email and roughly when the charge happened — we can look up the rest. We respond to billing email within 2 business days. You always retain the right to dispute a charge through your card issuer or bank, but a message to us first is usually faster, since we can see the Razorpay record directly and refund an erroneous charge without a chargeback fight.
